The Alzheimer Society works to create informed and supportive communities for people with dementia. Respectful communities are established when everyone in the caring relationship communicates and values the contribution of the person with dementia.

Outreach Program
The community outreach program ensures that information is readily available to people living in the community who are affected by or are concerned about Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia.

Outreach staff work with community organizations that serve seniors and cultural groups and educate them about dementia. They also create awareness of the Society’s programs and services. Outreach staff work closely with community groups to ensure they provide services that are easily accessed by people with Alzheimer's disease or another dementia.

If you would like to receive information on the Community Outreach Program, please call (204) 943-6622 or e-mail alzoutreach@alzheimer.mb.ca
