Dementia Friends

DEMENTIA LOGOSA Dementia Friend is someone who learns a little about what it’s like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into simple actions that can help people with dementia live well.

The goal of the Initiative is to engage Canadians in understanding what it means to live with dementia, and how to better support those affected within the community.

Dementia Friends brings us one step closer to our goal of a caring community in Manitoba — made up of many dementia-friendly businesses, organizations and services that support the needs of people living with dementia.

Help Create Dementia-Friendly Communities

Our vision is of a community that respects, supports and empowers people with dementia; a community in which people with dementia are socially and culturally valued; a community where people with dementia still actively participate in a safe environment.
