Manitoba Researcher Funded through Alzheimer Society's National Research Program!
Dr. Tiina Kauppinen's Biomedical research project, The role of PARP-1 as a modulator for microglial functions in Alzheimer's disease, has received funding by the Alzheimer Society of Canada's Research Program. Read more about her project.

Care4U Family Conference
Save the date for the upcoming Care4U Family Conference to be held from 9am - 4pm on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Canadian Mennonite University. The Care4U Family Conference will feature local and national dementia care professionals who share the latest in research, community resources and care techniques. The Living with Alzheimer's Disease or Other Dementias workshop sessions feature presentations on the disease process from a medical, family and individual perspective, legal & financial considerations, helpful community resources, caregiver tips and home safety.
