The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Westman Region would like to send a huge thank you to everyone that came out to our 16th Annual Motorcycle Poker Derby.  The Derby brought out 120 people on 86 bikes, raising an amazing $7700.00!  A Special Thanks goes out to Norm Gamble pictured above, our Top Fundraiser of the event bringing in $750.00 for the Society, Way to go Norm!  We would also like to thank the Christian Light Riders, the various volunteers and the supporting businesses throughout Westman, making this annual event even possible.

We hope to see you all again next year!

About the Motorcycle Poker Derby

Motorcycle drivers participate by collecting playing cards at five check stops to try and form the best poker hand.

The event will wrap up at the ASM's Westman office with motorcycle games, prizes, and a BBQ.

Pre-Register by August 5, 2011 and get an extra ballot entered in
for the Wild Card Draw.

Motorcycle Poker Derby Schedule -

Poker Derby cards are distributed at checkpoints along a designated route.

Participants try to get as many pledges as possible, and every $25 buys a poker hand.

The more money raised, the more poker hands can be purchased. (Minimum of $25.00 to participate).

Checkpoints: Souris, Alexander, Virden, Rivers and Brandon
