About the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba

The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba exists so that all Manitobans affected by Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia receive the help they need today and have hope for the future.

As a province-wide organization, the Society seeks to achieve its mission through community awareness; individual, family and professional education; support programs; and research funding.

We believe all people with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia should experience the best possible quality of life.

We work with families and informal care providers to provide the knowledge and support structures they need ‐ to be effective, confident and empowered caregivers.

We provide public information to confirm that Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias are a significant public health priority.

Throughout the month of June, thousands of Manitobans will participate in Memory Walk across the province, and walk together to raise funds to support critical programs and services the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba provides for people affected by dementia.
