Winnipeg Walk Marshall - Josephine Brazeau

Josephine is 73 years old and has Alzheimer’s disease.

"I’m not ashamed of my disease and I’m not
hiding the fact that I have it, nor should anybody else who has dementia. It’s not anyone’s fault, it’s just like having cancer. This disease is not going
to stop me from continuing to live life to its fullest, each and every day," says Josephine.

Josephine has an exhuberance for life that is easy to admire. She will be cutting the ribbon to start the Winnipeg Walk on Tuesday, June 9 at the Forks (Scotiabank Stage).

Throughout the month of June, thousands of walkers throughout Manitoba will raise funds
for the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. This
support helps provide valuable programs and
services for people with Alzheimer's disease
or another dementia, like Josephine Brazeau.
